Ukraine and Russia are two countries that border each other in Eastern Europe. Russia sent its army into Ukraine and began trying to take over the country.
Putin invaded, and Ukraine people are now fighting with the Russian army and trying to defeat it or some of them make sure they resist the war and possible consequences.
The United States and many other European countries are on the side of Ukraine people and they also want that Ukraine should be able to decide its own future.
Much of the international community have condemned Russia for its actions in Ukraine, accusing it of breaking international law and violating Ukrainian sovereignty.
In the wake of tense situation on Ukraine border. Putin had sought a few other guarantees, including that NATO would not operate along its border and that Ukraine would not be included in the western military alliance.
History of Ukraine and Russia conflict
In 1654, Russian and Ukraine came together under an agreement. Attempts to maintain Ukraine’s separate identity have been suppressed since the time of the Russian Empire before Soviet Union. Even after the 1917 revolution, the armies of society continued to invade Ukraine, and no voice was raised to make Ukraine a separate country.
Russia and Ukraine have been involved in conflict for the past eight years, in 2014 Russia take advantage of political disturbance in the neighbouring country to establish military control over Ukraine (Crimean Peninsula).
