Rhetoric Analysis includes three factors called Pathos, Logos, and Ethos. These factors will rhetorically analyses to any of the movie, song, article, book, or even picture. Here is an example of Rhetoric analysis by defining one of the famous advertisements of TCS. Starting with the Pathos, defined as follows:
- Pathos (Emotions): The Ad (TCS Lal Rang) has covered maximum aspects of the Pakistani culture and added emotions of the happiness when mother receive a parcel of his son from Dubai and she sent her a handmade Shirt back to him. Emotions when a businessman got a delay in receiving the orders but how he feels so happy when he gets into signature with TCS. The ad shows that TCS employees travel from rural areas to the major cities and beyond the border that make people/Customers happier. And TCS employees are having good behaviours and smiley talks to every nature of the customer.
- Logos (Logic): The ad shows that TCS is ISO 9001-2008 Certified Company and its CEO who is nominated as a businessman of the year. Meanwhile, the ad also shows that we deliver in time by showing the marriage event and she receives a parcel from TCS before the event as they promised.
- Ethos (Trust reliability): In the ad, there is a song which says, “The wait is over, Hearts desires are fulfilled, together in partnership with red. Delivering heartfelt messages, let happiness step in, together in partnership with red. You can Always Trust us, to support your every passion, we will safeguard that which you hold dear, that is what we vow with pride, together in partnership with red.” Besides this song, the ad has some other visual facts that show how people can trust working with TCS by showing the in time parcels delivered to the right persons even across the borders. And showing the happier reaction the businessman who just sign up with TCS. An old mother handing over a bag of stuff and the staff person is making her sure of her parcel is in the right hands and she must not worry about that.
