PTI Protest against ECP in Islamabad

PTI Protest against ECP in Islamabad, Imran Khan on Monday issued a call for a fresh protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office in Islamabad on Thursday to demand Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja’s resignation.

Imran said that the assemblies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab had passed resolutions against the CEC, stating that they had lost confidence in him.

He further added that the CEC is “partisan and dishonest” and alleged that Sikandar Sultan Raja tried to sabotage the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

Countries like India and Iran are using electronic voting machines but unfortunately our ECP chief has denied holding polls through EVMs says Imran Khan.

PTI announced to file a judicial reference against chief election commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja and other members of the ECP for meeting ruling alliance.

Red Zone Sealed with Containers

Islamabad’s district administration on Thursday sealed the Red Zone and placed containers at the entry points of the federal capital.

Entry into the Red Zone is banned for protesters and all unconcerned people, therefore personnel of law enforcement agencies including anti-riot force, Rangers, FC and police have been deployed around the red zone.

PTI has been given permission by the government to hold a rally in F9 Park and H9 Islamabad, however red zone is sealed.
