In order to consider the political situation in the country, the overall situation of the country and the future strategy were consulted in the meeting of the coalition parties.
Points Discussed in PDM Meeting
In the meeting presided over by Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Federal Law Minister Senator Azam Nazir Tarar informed the meeting about the legislation passed by the Parliament under Article 184 (3) of the Constitution and the controversial decisions and benches between the respected judges in the Supreme Court. Briefing on the situation arising from the issue,
In the meeting, no confidence was expressed in the three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta bandiyal, comprising Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Muneeb Akhtar, and it was demanded that the current court proceedings be terminated by accepting the four-member majority decision of the automatic notice. It is regrettable that the Chief Justice wants to impose the decision of the minority on the decision of the majority, which is also a clear violation of the basic concept of separation of powers of the state.
The meeting raised the question that the bench headed by Justice Qazi Faiz Isa has ordered to stay the hearing of all cases under Section 184(3). Conflicting court decisions have created an unworkable and complicated situation. It is also mandatory for everyone to respect the decision of the Faiz Isa bench.
