Mirage 2: Transform Your Photos Into Real-time Game Worlds

Mirage 2

Gofrixty [28 August 2025] – The team at Dynamics Lab is proud to announce the release of Mirage 2, which does the impossible: Mirage 2 takes any image and turns it into a playable, interactive 3d video game level in real-time, right in your browser.

With Mirage 2, you can take a photo, sketch or old master painting and upload it, to have AI create a sprawling explorable scene in real time. It’s not a picture anymore — it’s a place you can explore, walk through, reshape and share with friends.

It is not just about changing a picture. You can change the world as you play. Do you want to visit a snow-covered village, or call up a bridge across a stream? Just input a prompt or nudge it with a handful of easy-to-use controls, and you end up with a new world in no time. And from there you can share the link to let others join your creation.

Mirage 2 is powered by cloud streaming, so no downloads or high-powered hardware required. All you need is a browser, and just start looking. Demo: What you see here is the engine playing at 16 fps and at standard definition, with 10 minute long sessions.

As it is with any new technology, the technology is not without its challenges. And there might be some input delay, flickering or the screen would suddenly change. But response rate and stability are active areas of development for the developers.

And the most thrilling part about Mirage 2 is that it’s so accessible. You don’t need to know how to code or for a while, or even bother with expensive software, to build immersive game spaces. “Anyone — whether you’re an athlete, a math teacher, a street artist or just a curious explorer — can take a picture of this world, and transform it into a dynamic space,” it explains, unlocking new forms of experience for creativity and play.
