Islamabad, May 30, 2025 — Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, has called on his followers to get ready for a potential protest movement. Despite being behind bars since 2023, Khan used his official X (formerly Twitter) account to share a message encouraging supporters to organize for what he called a “decisive movement” against the current government.
Message Calls for Readiness, Lacks Concrete Plans
Khan’s message asked PTI workers and supporters to prepare, but did not share details about when the protest might begin, its size, or its main demands. “Get ready,” he posted. “It’s time to defend justice and true freedom.” As of now, there has been no official statement outlining the protest’s date or how it will unfold.
His brief post has led to talk that PTI could be planning a major protest either before local elections or in response to recent crackdowns on the party’s leadership.
