George Floyd protesters

George Floyd murdered brutally on a road that wounded many people of the US. The protesters arrested by police for not getting off from roads and streets during curfew, who were waiting for justice over the murder of George Floyd.

Since May 25, the murder of George Floyd, there are more than 9300 people who have been arrested till now and they were unprotected black Americans, according to an associated press news agency tally circulated on Wednesday.

Police have arrested numerous hundreds of people in Houston, Texas, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Damas. Which is a much higher tool. The tally reports that New York City has recorded 1500 arrests since the protests, along with Los Angeles with more than 2700 arrests.

The arrests came to happened when the protestors were waiting for the justice of George Floyd’s murder and against the brutality of armed forces with the black Americans in the US.

Major cities have taken steps to curb the curfew, which has resulted in vandalism, firing, and looting. Several people have been imprisoned for disobeying the curfew.

Some police departments in major cities, such as Houston, say while hundreds have been arrested, “this is an extremely low number … considering the thousands of people in our community demonstrated peacefully”.

The number of people arrested is small and that these are the same people who were breaking the law while thousands of other residents are protesting peacefully.

All of this came to light during a nationwide sit-in against Floyd’s killer, who was seen as a white police officer torturing a 46-year-young man who strangled him on the neck for nine minutes. And then the young man died. A video of the whole accident went viral, with Floyd repeatedly pleading with the officer that he was not breathing, let him go. And in the video, Floyd finally dies under the officer’s feet.

Officer Derek Chuan and three of his accomplices have been charged with second-degree murder and homicide and the other three officers involved have been charged with benefiting and abetting the next degree murder and homicide.

Crackdown

Some groups say this is sometimes the case with protests over police violence. Police say they are only torturing people who want to shed blood for no reason and want to disturb the peace and police will not allow any harm to come to those who are at peace. The George Floyd protesters against whom tear gas, flashbacks, rubber bullets, sticks, and other measures were used, those were the people who disturbed the peace and harmed others and were violent, as evidenced by the videos and witnesses.

Six police officers have been sentenced by high-ranking officials in Atlanta (Georgia) for torturing two people and dragging them behind a car, knocking them to the ground, and shooting them with sharp weapons.

And in all of this, the police have threatened and tortured the journalist community, and rights groups have strongly condemned the move of police.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in Minnesota on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against the state of Minnesota and local law enforcement officials, “to ensure those police officers who target journalists are held fully accountable for their unlawful actions”.

Minnesota state and law enforcement officials have been sued, and to ensure this, officers must be held fully accountable for taking illegal action against all journalists and those officers who tortured them. The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in Minnesota by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

Committee to forfend Journalism has received reports of at least 125 press liberation infringements from journalists covering the protests, including reports of several apprehends.
