No Justice No Peace | BLM: Black Lives Matter
George Floyd is not the first black man who has been victimized in the current calendar year in US. Several other cases have also been seen recently in US of black people being killed by police or former law enforcement.
On February 23, Ahmaud Arbery, A 25-year-old black man was killed by a retired law enforcement officer and his son while he was off for jogging. The legendary LeBron James also Tweeted for the incident saying “We feel insecure while stepping out of our home”
A few days later, on 13th March, another 25-years old black ‘Breonna Taylor’ was killed by police. They had a drug search warrant, but they didn’t get anything when they break into the house of a victim.
There is a series of these killings and facial discrimination in US. These racial disparities have given birth to BLC (Black Lives Matter), a concept which was founded in 2013. It influences to stop police violence and seek the attention of the authorities to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities in all states of US. BLC believes all humans are equal, no difference shall be made on the bases of colour, religion, or race.
