This year is assumed to be very unfortunate for the NBA (National Basketball Association), which is one of the biggest sports events in the world. First, the tragic death of NBA’s legendary Kobe Bryant due to a Helicopter crash and then this Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. But now, NBA is likely to resume practice facilities under certain strictly followed SOPs.
On 29 January 2020, NBA has to postpone a big game between LA Lakers and LA Clippers to tribute to the legendary Kobe Bryant. As he died in a tragic helicopter crash incident. Later, on 13 March 2020, a match was fixed between Jazz and thunders also postponed because a player form Jazz roaster Rudy Gobert was tested positive of the COVID-19 which led the whole NBA in a risk, Thus, its around 55 days have been passed that the NBA has postponed its all schedules.
Now, NBA is likely to resume. the NEWS is coming that, the USA has allowed three teams to open their practice facilities under certain predefined SOPs. These teams include Portland Trail Blazers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Denver Nuggets. But some sources also suggested that the fourth team Houston Rockets has also added into the list of the teams who can effectively open their practice facilities from Friday, i.e. 8 May 2020.
