Gofrixty [21 July 2025] – While meeting with the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, COAS General Asim Munir discussed improvement into the defense industry relationship between the two countries. The ISPR said the meeting discussed further consolidating cooperation between the two militaries, particularly in the fields of training, defence production, and joint ventures.
The meeting at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi is part of Pakistan’s increasing efforts to strengthen its defence relationship with friendly countries. General Munir stressed that Pakistan would like to share its wealth of experience in defence production and armed forces training with the Libyan armed forces. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s keenness to play its part towards regional peace and stability with enhanced military collaboration.
According to the military’s media wing, Libyan Chief of the Staff expressed his admiration for the professionalism of Pakistan Army and the assistance it lent to building capacity of the Libyan armed forces. He also appreciated the contribution of Pakistan’s Military Academies in imparting invaluable training to foreign officers including from Libya.
