The Foreign Office said several Muslim countries which previously cooperated with former U.S. President Donald Trump on his Gaza peace proposal welcome what Hamas has recently done on this set of plans.
Speaking their minds in English–it seems appropriate that other Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates–appreciated Hamas moving forward from a more traditional confrontational weapon to one prepared for diplomacy. These countries saw it as a potential first step along the road to peace or at least ending this long-term disagreement and rebuilding Gaza’s war-shattered neighborhoods.
This week Hamas leaders met with regional representatives and discussed conditions under which humanitarian aid could be secured for the beleaguered people and how displaced civilians may return home. They expressed willingness to negotiate provided Israel stop its bombings and ease the blockade.

The Foreign Office emphasized that Pakistan stands with the Palestinian people and supports all efforts aimed at protecting civilians and bringing things back to normal. In Islamabad diplomats called for unity among all regions involved in this struggle, as well as from all parties concerned so that we may prioritize our common human needs.
