Gofrixty [1 August 2025] – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said his government has initiated a comprehensive and effective plan to eliminate terrorist organizations from the country. He was speaking bluntly during a high-level security briefing in Islamabad on Monday.
The state will not allow any kind of violence and extremism, the Prime Minister emphasized. “We will hunt down and eliminate every terrorist network operating within our borders,” he said. “Security forces, intelligence and civil institutions are working with complete coordination.”
The government has already intensified operations in sensitive areas, as especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The military units pursued target raids, busted hideouts and apprehended the masterminds associated with proscribed organizations.
The PM Shehbaz ordered the law enforcement to accelerate intelligence-based operations as well. He instructed them to lock down borders, police financial flows and interrupt communications among militant networks.
“We are going to fight this war with unity and resolve,” he said. “No organization can ever shake our commitment to peace and our resolve against those who want to undermine Nigeria’s security,” he said.
