The First case of Omicron Virus in Pakistan came to light; however, it is creating fear in the hearts of the people.

Wear masks when you go to crowded places for protection and vaccination is the best precaution against it. Says NIH

The public has been advised to complete vaccinations and get booster doses.

64 cases have been reported in Pakistan today, Therefore the health of patients is also a concern.

A New Corona Virus subvariants can reinfect those who have recovered from previous strain.

Studies shows that these new subvariants are more infectious than the previous strain

But there is no evidence that they cause higher rates of serious illness than previous Omicron Variants.

Omicron Coronavirus Symptoms

The Symptoms of Omicron Corona Virus include cough, fever and shortness of breath.

And in many cases infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome and sometimes it causes death.

The Omicron Variant spreads more easily than earlier variants of the virus that cause COVID-19, with Omicron infection, regardless of vaccination or whether they have no symptoms, can spread the virus to others.

The Omicron variant of COVID-19 has been called a variant of concern by WHO. Omicron is spreading faster than any previous variant, with a doubling time of 2-3 days. The overall risk related to this variant remains very high.

Variants like Omicron are a reminder that the COVID-19 pandemic is far from over.
