Tragic Death of Influencer Couple Shocks Overlanding Community

Tragic Death

Gofrixty [15 August 2025] –
We lost Stacey Tourout and Matthew Yeomans, the Influencer couple who create YouTube channel Toyota World Runners. The pair, who were famous for their wanderlust and whose adventures claimed hundreds of thousands of social media followers from around the world, had been leading a global travel lifestyle full of exploration.

The crash site is near Silver Cup Ridge in British Columbia’s Purcell Range. The day of the tragedy, Kaslo Search and Rescue received a call for help about 6:30 p.m. Rescuers accessed the remote site to find Matthew without vital signs. Stuck on top, Stacey was airlifted to the Nakusp Hospital, but died from her injuries. The rugged terrain, high altitude and the fading daylight all presented formidable obstacles for the rescue mission. Ground teams and helicopters searched together for it.
