school van accident in AJK on Tuesday left 29 children and their driver injured after the van fell off a narrow, hilly road. It was just another afternoon, and the children were heading home after school like they always do.
The van flipped while turning and went rolling down the hill. People nearby didn’t wait- they dropped everything and ran. Some climbed down through the bushes, others just started pulling kids out with their bare hands. The scene was painful. Kids were screaming, a few bleeding, their school clothes covered in blood. No one knew what to do first it was pure panic. The van was crushed by the trees it hit on the way down.
Sixteen children reached a local hospital. Doctors moved thirteen others and the driver to a bigger hospital due to more serious injuries.The driver and two of the students are still in critical condition. The rest are stable now.
