Faisal Vawda Demands for Increased Defence Budget and Salary Boost for Armed Forces

Senator Faisal Vawda on Thursday proposed reducing the development budget and increasing the defence budget.

While speaking during a Senate session, Senator Vawda said that “we will have to tighten our belts and increase the defence budget; instead of focusing on development projects, our attention must now shift toward defence.”

He added that “we are in safe hands and the nation is united — now the question is how to double or triple the budget.”

“This is no longer the time to talk about development. We must now focus on defence,” Vawda asserted, urging for political consensus to support this shift in priorities.

He stressed the importance of unity, stating, “All political parties stand united under one flag.

Faisal Vawda pointed out that India maintains a larger military force than Pakistan. “India perceived us as weak, but we delivered a strong and befitting response,” He further stated, “This is no longer the time to talk about development and we must now focus on defense.”
