It’s a new age for the Forza Horizon series as the reveal of its latest installment has been announced, Forza Horizon 6. The upcoming iteration of the hit racing series will be spreading its love to Japan for the very first time, with Tokyo as the poster child for the game’s extensive open-world map according to developers.
The reveal fans waited years for has captured the attention of the gaming world. The development team insist Tokyo will not simply be another city backdrop. It will feature neon-lit streets, high-speed highways and anti-gravity racing action through the tight city streets. Players also encounter Mount Fuji, tighter downhill rural sections and mixed weather that influences grip limitations.
It is scheduled to release in 2026, debuting on Xbox Series X|S and PC. A version for the PlayStation 5 is going to be released later. It’s a huge change of pace for the franchise, which previously took place in regions.
