Gofrixty [23 July 2025] – SpaceX informed its investors that Elon Musk might get back into U.S. politics, fueling theories about his life after space and tech. The company made the disclosure in a recent private meeting, in which some of its top executives detailed long-term risks as well as possible changes in leadership.
Musk still strongly voices his opinion on American policy, and Executives made that very clear. They cited his growing commentating on political issues on his own social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), and publicly condemning both major parties. The company noted that Musk hadn’t ruled out trying his hand as a more direct political actor were circumstances to push him in that direction.
Investors hung on as leaders laid out how Musk’s political aspirations might affect company operations. A few board members stressed that Musk has tended to exert a large influence over company decisions because of his personal convictions. They also observed that his emerging interest in national policy could ultimately turn his attention from business leadership to public service.

Musk has made recent trips to see a number of political leaders, including senators and governors. He talked about technology policy, electric vehicles and regulating artificial intelligence. But for all the political talk, SpaceX has maintained an image of Musk as a man preoccupied not with political machinations, but with his mission of colonizing Mars and building a new generation of rockets. But the leaders know his pursuit of a personal one could take an unexpected turn.
