Gofrixty [29 July 2025] – Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have rebuked Israel over the rising tensions in Gaza following Israeli airstrikes which killed 92 Palestinians in a single day. The most recent strikes had hit residential areas, shelters and a place where civilians had been gathering to receive humanitarian aid. Witnesses described scenes of chaos, smoke and children screaming as buildings caved in and emergency crews were unable to respond.

That single-day death toll is one of the highest in recent weeks, bringing the total number of deaths in Gaza dangerously close to 60,000. Upper-most among the dead are women, children and the aged.(tt) Families are being buried in mass graves, as morgues and hospitals run out of room for bodies.

Conditions in Gaza have become much worse. Food is all but impossible to come by, clean water is in short supply, and medical supplies are dwindling. Dozens of children have already starved to death, and doctors warn that hundreds more are on the brink. With minimal humanitarian access and no routes for safe delivery, the situation is growing increasingly dire by the hour.

Local doctors are already describing the injuries as horrific — burns, amputations, deep trauma. Hospitals are run without electricity and patients receive treatment on the floors with scant medicine. Ambulances are frequently delayed or blocked from reaching the wounded due to the ever-present threat of additional strikes.

The world has demanded a promptly end and full access for humanitarian supplies. World leaders are calling on Israel to end its military action, with the civilian loss of life and suffering being an unacceptable toll. If the blockade and strikes persist, they warn,Gaza’s will not just face a humanitarian crisis, but a complete collapse of its ability to support life.

The airstrikes have continued despite mounting international pressure. And in Gaza, the people continue to endure — some killed by bombs, others by starvation, and countless by a world that appears to lack the stomach or the will to protect them.
