Gofrixty [25 July 2025] – Donald Trump landed in Scotland on a private jet for a visit that saw him carry out various business and personal activities. He elected to land at Aberdeen airport and went straight to his golf resort at Trump International Scotland.

Trump stopped by his golf courses in Aberdeen and Turnberry to tour renovations and talk to staff. He raved about the facilities and and chatted with local media, praising the tourism prospects of his properties. While on the trip, he also held private meetings with business associates and supporters.

Some areas greeted Trump with crowds of supporters, others with protesters concerned about his political legacy. Local police worked closely with Trump’s private security force to insure security and track all events.

    Trump said nothing about planned political activities while in the country. But he chatted privately with reporters about U.S. politics and hinted about potential campaign plans. He stressed his Scottish links, his mother having been born on the Isle of Lewis.

    Shortly before departing, Trump spent even more time at his own Turnberry golf course and had a cozy dinner there with some of his closest allies. He thanked his Scottish workforce and said the long term he was still committed to investing in the area.
