Karachi Lyari tragedy killed 15 people when a five-story building collapsed on Thursday night in Moosa Lane, one of Lyari’s most crowded areas. The building came crashing down within seconds, burying families under concrete and dust.
Rescue workers rushed to the site as soon as they heard the news. Volunteers and neighbors joined them, digging through rubble to pull people out. They found 15 bodies and moved 8 injured victims to Civil Hospital. Doctors said several victims needed urgent care.
“I heard a loud crack and saw the building fall like it melted,” said Rashid, who lives across the street. “People screamed and ran, but everything happened too fast.”
