Gofrixty [11 September 2025] – In three days, Israel conducted airstrikes in six countries in a military campaign that jolted the Middle East. Israeli jets strike targets in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia, Qatar, Yemen. Officials in Tel Aviv said the strikes were intended to weaken the militants and to undermine regional backing for Hamas.
In Gaza, Israeli forces pounded several neighborhoods and razed several residential blocks. Rescue workers searched through rubble for injured civilians and local hospitals were short of medicine and equipment. Palestinian groups promised to respond and called the strikes a war crime.
In Lebanon, Israel struck at positions connected to Hezbollah near the southern border. Heavy explosions and power outages were also reported in several towns. Hezbollah gunmen shot rockets in response, and tension along the Blue Line ratcheted up.
And in Syria, Israeli missiles hit military sites in and around Damascus and Homs. Syria charged that Israel had violated its sovereignty and, in response, promised to boost air defenses.

In Tunisia, Israeli drones struck what officials called Hamas logistical centers. Witnesses spoke of fire and panic in the suburbs of Tunis. And political leaders in North Africa denounced the strikes and warned of destabilization.
In Qatar, Israeli warplanes bombed an alleged command center on the outskirts of Doha. Qatari officials condemned the attack and called for an emergency meeting of the Arab League. Mobs swelled in the capital, chanting slogans against Israel.
In Yemen, Israeli forces targeted Houthi strongholds in Sana’a and Hodeidah. The strikes provoked retaliatory drone launches toward southern Israel. Regional analysts worry that the fighting could broaden to the Red Sea shipping lanes.
Leaders across the Arab world were quick to condemn the campaign and urge a coordinated response. The United Nations called an emergency session to respond to the escalation. World powers called for restraint, but none were able to prevent the strikes.
The rapid proliferation of Israeli actions has brought the region much closer to all-out war. Analysts say the crisis may bring new alliances, broader battles and a likely unpredictable conflict with the Middle East.
