Imran Khan – Prime Minister of Pakistan in USA for UNGA

In his official tour of U.S.A, Imran Khan is continuously talking about Kashmir issue and Islamophobia. In his several speeches, he highlighted the issues like racial discrimination, Terrorism, Behavior of the world with Muslims and the incremental tensions of Pakistan with India.

On 23rd September 2019, He had an official talk with a think tank of foreign affairs relation, where he started his talk by telling the challenges which he had faced during his cricket career and how they influenced on his life. Then he talked about Pakistan economic crises and in a very polite manner, told the reason of seeking the help of IMF (International Monetary Fund) program and said: “The moment you have a deficit, whether it is current account or fiscal deficit, means you are not managing your economy properly”.

He highlighted the issue of Kashmir and said that all Kashmiri people are suffering just because they are Muslims and it is very important for the Muslim World to play its part against the radicalization and Islamophobia.

He also raised the question about Afghan Taliban and America’s cancellation of the deal. He stated that we have suffered a lot by fighting the proxy war. It was actually a fight of America and Pakistan was just dragged into it, and on this decision, he further added that he has been yet regretful on this big blunder of Pakistan think tank, to take a side of US in fighting against their own people for just the sack of few Dollars. As this is just a materialistic approach.

Imran Khan further added that Pakistan has lost more than 70,000 people just because of this proxy war and it was the biggest mistake that we did in the history of Pakistan.

One journalist asked a question about radical Islam and modern Islam. In reply, Imran khan said that there are no types of Islam, There is only one Islam, and the Islam we follow is based on the teachings of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H), and there is no other Islam. All those who go against the peace, prosperity and happiness are not following the teachings of Islam, thus they have nothing to do with the religion ‘Islam’. He further added that terrorism has nothing to with Islam OR with the right teaching of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H).

On the same day, He met with the President of US Mr Donald Trump. They both came for a press conference after their meeting. In a press conference, Imran Khan said that the prosperity, peace, and growth of Pakistan is reciprocal to the peace, prosperity, and growth of Afghanistan.

While talking about Kashmir issue, PM Pakistan Mr Imran Khan added that before going to have a diplomatic talk with India, at least India will need to end the curfew being imposed on more than 8 million people of Kashmir which is going on in Kashmir from last 52 days.  He asked Mr President, Donald Trump, to play his role as being an arbitrator or mediator to solve the issue of Kashmir. As since the separation of sub-content, people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir bleeds. and Trump replied that if both countries are ready than he is also willing to play his role as mediator or arbitrator. When they both (Pakistan and India) will say that they are ready at some points than this issue can be resolved. He expressed the Iran issue as well before the media in their joint press conference.
