Gofrixty [06 August 2025] – Disney is resurrecting the body-swapping comedy craze with their latest project, a big-screen version of Freakier Friday, set to debut Aug. 8, 2025. It stars Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, two actors that reunited for the iconic 2003 comedy, Freaky Friday. This time, they’re not just swaping bodies again — they’ve got a new crop of youngsters in tow, which makes it all the more wackier and (hopefully) funnier.
Anna Coleman (Lindsay Lohan) has grown up and now has a daughter of her own. She lives with her fiancé and is about to become a stepmother to his daughter, played by Sophia Hammons. Anna, her own daughter, Anna’s stepdaughter and even Tess (Curtis) swaps bodies once more when mysterious magic happens again. The result? Three generations of family chaos filled with comedic moments, emotional reveals and life lessons.
Also the teaser trailer alone made quite a lot of noise, racking up more than 14 million views in just a few days. It’s the perfect blend of nostalgia for the original stars and new, energized chaos from the fresh cast. Director Nisha Ganatra leads Freakier Friday
