After the incident in Islamabad, the Pakistani Army and paramilitary forces will protect Sri Lanka’s national team from any danger during their upcoming matches in Pakistan. After visiting Field Marshal Asim Munir assured the visitors they would be safe in Pakistan.

The Sri Lanka cricket team’s security was in the hands of the Pakistan Army, which took over from the police before the ODI series and will be responsible for keeping order during T20I matches.When the team transfer to and from their hotel to Pindi Cricket Stadium, the Pakistan Army provides an armed escort.Foreign players need to keep an eagle eye on all around them.

The visitors’ hotel and the stadium where they play are both less than ten miles from the blast site. There, twelve people were killed and dozens injured in a senseless attack that shocked Sri Lanka’s squad. Though some players wanted to go home in the wake of this incident report other teammates muttered their disappointment and went along with their Board’s decision to stay—citing security guarantees made by Pakistan authorities for this most recent phase of play.
