Government Decreases Petrol Prices

The federal government on Sunday decreases petrol prices however in the global market, petrol is cheaper but the people did not get full relief.

Price of petrol has been decreased by Rs. 3.05 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs. 8.95.

The new price of petrol will be Rs. 227.10 and the new price of diesel will be Rs. 244.80.

New prices will be effective from midnight August 1 and will remain in place until August 15. The price of kerosene has been increased by Rs. 4.62 per liter to Rs. 201.02

    The Finance Division, in its notification, said that in view of the fluctuations in petroleum prices in the international market and exchange rate variation, the government has decided to revise the existing prices of petroleum products to pass on the impact to the consumers.

    The changes were introduced following a reduction in the prices of petroleum products in the international market.
